Sweet and Spicy Baked Chicken Wings

Sweet and Spicy Baked Chicken Wings
This white meat is my favorite part of poultry. Chicken wings are ideal as a finger food or a main dish. This recipe is a perfect substitute to the traditional fried chicken wings and buffalo wings. Since this recipe is baked, it is healthier, and with its sweetness and tanginess you cannot stop eating it 'til  the last piece.
Ingredients:
  • 2 lbs. Chicken Wings (cleaned, washed)
  • 4 tbsp. Honey
  • 1/2 cup Soy Sauce
  • 2 tbsp. Ketchup (i used sweet and spicy banana ketchup)
  • 4 cloves Garlic
  • 1/4 tsp. Red Pepper Flakes
  • Salt and Pepper to taste
  • 1 tsp. Sesame Seeds
  • Green Onion for garnishing (chopped)
Let's Cook!
  1. Preheat oven to 400ºF.
  2. Line a large baking sheet or tray with aluminum foil and spray it with nonstick spray. Set aside.
  3. Place the chicken wings in a large bowl.
  4. In a medium bowl, mix all the ingredients thoroughly.
  5. Pour the mixture into the chicken wings and mix well.
  6. Marinate for at least 15 minutes.
  7. After marinating, arrange the wings on to the baking tray, then pour the sauce mixture and cover with aluminum foil.
  8. Bake until the sauce dries.
  9. Remove the aluminum foil cover and change the oven setting on to broil.
  10. Broil in low temperature to avoid burning and to caramelize the sauce gradually.
  11. Turn each wing to even up the caramelization.
  12. When done, put on a platter and sprinkle with sesame seeds and chopped green onion.
  13. Serve, share and enjoy!
